Private Duty CaregiversThoughtful Care believes that caring for someone who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia should be based on the fact that there is still a person in there, and they deserve to be treated with dignity, respect and care. We use this belief in the interview process for our caregivers. Not only do our professionals have 3-15 years of cognitive care experience, they must also express the same level of understanding about what constitutes quality care. We do not view ourselves as a sitting service, but as a therapy service. Our goal is to provide the basics of care, such as light housekeeping, cooking and errands, with the added services of mental and physical activities. We do not believe that a television should be the primary tool in care. Our caregivers are our employees, and undergo extensive background checks. We are fully insured and bonded, and all employees come to you with letters of recommendation. |
